Our Belief

Our Story
Hope for Peaceful Families Foundation Uganda (HOPEFFU) was founded with a strong commitment to creating a safer, healthier, and more empowered society. Our journey began with a vision to Have a domestic violence free society where poverty is eradicated and with the mission to support vulnerable communities, address gender-based violence, promote child protection, put emphasis on environmental conservation and enhance livelihoods through sustainable development initiatives.
Operating in both refugee and host communities among others, HOPEFFU has been at the forefront of advocating for human rights, environmental conservation, and socio-economic empowerment. Through targeted interventions, awareness campaigns, and community-led initiatives, we continue to impact lives by fostering peace, resilience, and self-reliance.
At HOPEFFU, we believe that real change starts within the community by equipping individuals with the right skills, knowledge, and resources, we are paving the way for a future where families thrive in harmony, dignity, and economic stability. Join us on our mission to build a better tomorrow!
We started our journey in 2019
Hope for Peaceful Families Foundation Uganda (HOPEFFU) is a registered Indigenous not for
Profit NGO under Reg. no. INDR155504666NB, with the focus on Domestic and Sexual
Violence prevention plus mobilizing support for violence survivors in our communities. The
organization started in 2019 and completed its NGO registration status in July 2021.
AREA OF OPERATION
Currently, we operate in Mbarara City and Mbarara district and Kamwenge District though even
receiving cases from neighboring districts, and with a plan to make it National during the
renewal of our operational permit with the NGO Bureau.
At Hope for Peaceful Families Foundation Uganda, we are dedicated to promoting the well-being, security, and empowerment of vulnerable families and children. We provide safe and nurturing environments, access to essential healthcare, nutritious meals, and emotional support. Through our educational programs, skill-building workshops, and community outreach initiatives, we equip individuals with the tools needed for a brighter and self-sufficient future. Our mission is to foster peace, stability, and sustainable development within families and communities across Uganda.
At Hope for Peaceful Families Foundation Uganda, we are committed to enhancing the well-being, safety, and empowerment of vulnerable families and children. We provide secure and nurturing environments, ensuring access to quality healthcare, nutritious meals, and emotional support. Through our educational programs, life-skills training, and community-based initiatives, we equip children and families with the necessary tools to build a stable and self-sufficient future.
We recognize the vital role of family in a child’s development and actively work towards family reunification, foster care, and community-based support systems. Our efforts focus on strengthening families, preventing separation, and ensuring that every child grows up in a loving and stable environment. We collaborate with local and international organizations, government agencies, and community leaders to provide sustainable solutions that promote long-term family stability and child welfare.
Over the years, we have witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of education, care, and social support in transforming the lives of vulnerable children and families. Many individuals we have supported have gone on to lead successful and independent lives, breaking the cycle of poverty and adversity. At Hope for Peaceful Families Foundation Uganda, we remain dedicated to fostering peace, resilience, and opportunities for future generations.
